Latent Gloves

Latent Gloves

Latent Gloves is a wearable Digital Musical Instrument (DMI) designed for the embodied exploration of neural audio latent spaces through hand gestures. The instrument combines a DIY glove-based controller, embedded sensor processing, and a neural audio synthesis engine based on the nn~ Max package to transform a vocal audio recording using a RAVE timbre transfer model.

PARRA: Artífice de Realizaciones Robóticas Artísticas (2020)

  • Research towards artistic installation where spectators are portrayed by a robotic arm.
  • The software simulator uses a custom pipeline built entirely in Python to transform images into artist-inspired robot executions.
  • Received a mention/award from the National Engineering Academy of Uruguay.
  • Developed with Alfredo Solari and Martín Ottavianelli.

Drumdom (2017)

  • Interactive and audio-reactive percussive installation with performer and sound artist Hugo Angelelli.
  • Developed in collaboration with Sebastián Bugna, Hugo Angelelli and Maximiliano Kotvisky.
  • Created during studies in the module Processing Programming for Multimedia Environments (taught by Ewelina Bakala).
